Where is the year going? It feels like it’s flying by!

Kingswood in October

Here at Kingswood, we started the month off with our termly staff meeting. We really utilise this time to all get together, share any training updates, and other important information, as well as doing some fun team building exercises.

Photo day!

In preparation for Christmas, the children had their annual photo session with the professional photographer.

We have used the company Saul Isaac now for many years, with their excellence in creating those magical memories to treasure forever. Please feel free to look at some of their work on their Facebook page;

Wellbeing Week

As part of promoting World Mental Health Day, we also held a wellbeing week for staff.

We take mental health seriously at Kingswood, and Amanda acts as our Mental Health First Aider, for occasions when our team may need some extra support.

Over the week, we promoted them taking those comfort breaks more, and talking if they need to. This, of course, was accompanied by treats throughout, including an in-house breakfast for them all.

Pre-School parent/carer workshop

Every term, we host a couple of parent workshops, and this month it was Pre-School’s turn to host. The parents really enjoy coming in and taking part in the activities with their children, and we really value their feedback in order to improve in any areas possible. This time around, the workshop was autumn-themed, with pumpkin painting, chocolate sparkler making, and lots more!

Wear it Pink!

This month, we also got involved in raising money for a great charity supporting breast cancer research. We got involved by doing a bake sale, and getting all dressed up in pink! If you would like to donate please follow the link provided.

Halloween

To finish off the month, the children got involved in lots of Halloween activities and had a fun fancy dress up day for Halloween itself.

Employee of the month

Finally, every month, we all vote for an ’employee of the month’. Everyone gets to have their say, stating why they feel someone deserves to get the accolade. This time it was Harriet – well done!
